Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney, born Amal Alamuddin in Lebanon is a Lebanese and British barrister who has served as an activist for human rights over many years. An alumni of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her long and accomplished career within the field of international law and human rights has won her international recognition. Some of her most prominent clients include several nation-states including the country of Armenia in its fight for acknowledgment for Armenia's Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney became engaged to and later married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a household name in the world of popular art and culture. Before that, she'd gained a lot of recognition in legal circles and was respected by her capacity to defend clients. Her expertise spans a broad spectrum of work, that ranges from human rights and social justice issues to human rights through representation of multinational corporations in negotiations with courts as well as about government regulations.
